Common Questions
Find answers to common questions about our driving school and services. If you have more questions, feel free to reach out to us directly.
What's the first lesson like?
Your first driving lesson is all about getting comfortable and building confidence behind the wheel. Don’t worry – you won’t be thrown into the deep end! Your instructor will start by explaining the controls of the car, making sure you're relaxed and understand the basics. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience already, we’ll make sure it’s a positive, encouraging experience from the very start.
What are the lesson durations?
At LeaP, we offer flexible lesson lengths to suit your learning style and schedule. You can choose from 1-hour, 1.5-hour, or 2-hour driving lessons. Whether you prefer shorter sessions to ease into driving or longer lessons to cover more ground and progress faster, we’ll tailor your lessons to what works best for you.
Do I Need a provisional license?
Yes – you’ll need a valid UK provisional driving licence before you can take driving lessons on public roads. You can apply for one online through the GOV.UK website. If you need help applying, we’re happy to guide you through the process.
Can I choose a male or female instructor?
Absolutely. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible during your lessons, so if you have a preference for a male or female instructor, just let us know when booking and we’ll do our best to match you accordingly.
Will I always have the same instructor?
Yes – consistency is key to effective learning. You’ll be matched with a dedicated instructor who will guide you throughout your journey. If for any reason you’d like to switch instructors, we’ll handle it discreetly and respectfully.
